Launched in January 2022, Tarik Talk Podcast is an international documentary series created, produced, filmed, and hosted by Tarik Mendes, dedicated to documenting contemporary art and the artists shaping it.
Established to preserve firsthand accounts of contemporary artists and their practices, the project serves as a long-term documentary archive of the people, places, and ideas that define today’s global art world. Through in-depth conversations, the series explores artistic process, creative development, and the personal journeys behind contemporary artistic practice.
With more than 200 episodes produced across over 30 seasons, the series has been recorded live in more than 10 countries, creating an extensive archive of conversations with artists, curators, gallery directors, museum professionals, collectors, architects, designers, creatives, and other cultural leaders.
Produced in both video and audio formats, Tarik Talk Podcast is available on major streaming platforms, allowing audiences around the world to experience each episode both visually and audibly.
Episodes have been recorded on location at internationally recognized museums, galleries, art fairs, cultural institutions, public art installations, and artist studios, offering viewers a behind-the-scenes perspective on contemporary artistic practice.
